Shelly Richardson
Owner, Coordinator

Meet Shelly!

Shelly Richardson is the owner and originator of Event Design. She became a licensed wedding planner through the American Academy of Wedding Professionals in 2011 and Event Design became a reality. Shelly is a skilled artist and received her Bachelors degree in Art and Art History from UNL in 2009. Shelly knows the ins and outs of virtually every aspect of the wedding industry. She has experience in floral arrangements, ballroom dancing, major concert planning, as well as was an onsite event coordinator at many large Lincoln venues. Through her experience, Shelly has a vast knowledge of which companies will best serve you! There is no length too far that she will not jump to make sure your day is perfect beyond words. 

Reya Tuncan

Meet Reya!

Reya has been one of our lead Day of Coordinators for years. She is just one of those people you will be excited to have on your team to get you through every hurdle you might face. Reya has a degree in Hospitality Management from UNL. She has also worked for some of Lincoln's top catering and rental businesses. Reya is not afraid to think outside the box to make your wedding something every guest at your wedding will remember. Reya has spent a lot of time this past year planning her own wedding. Between learning from her experience with Event Design and facing her own personal challenge of making her own special day perfect, we know she will put just as much work into making your day just as wonderful as her own! 


Alyssa Kaufhold

Meet Alyssa!

Alyssa is one of our "everything under the sun" employees. She does day of coordinating, setup, babysitting, and bartending. As a mother of four young children, Alyssa knows how to juggle a lot of things at once. She is an avid crafter and has an eye for designing and eye catching and original background for your space. She has experience in bartending, coordinating multiple teams, and obviously making sure that even the youngest family members are included in your special day. Alyssa is super energetic and outgoing, yet also one of the most organized members of our team.


Krystal Taylor


Meet Krystal! 

Krystal has been working as one of our lead day of coordinators for the past few years. She has planned gorgeous weddings, across the spectrum of themes. From outdoor "rustic", to upscale romantic, this girl can make it happen! Krystal has a Hospitality Management degree from UNL. She has also worked in restaurant management for events, as well as a lead coordinator for events at a popular local dance hall. She has plenty of experience making sure every guest is happy and being taken care of. Krystal is known for being organized and prepared for any situation! She has every tool under the sun to handle any emergency that may happen throughout the day. She always has everything under control and you can be confident that you are in good hands when she is in charge of your day.
